GP Fund Solutions (GPFS) Opens Luxembourg Office Following CSSF Approval

Press Release
Senningerbrg, Luxembourg – 29 October 2025
James Vella-Bamber –
GP Fund Solutions (GPFS) has opened its newest European office in Luxembourg after receiving regulatory approval from the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier(CSSF). A trusted, premier fund administrator in the United States since 2011, GPFS has rapidly expanded globally, establishing offices in Ireland, England, and Guernsey over the past four years. The Luxembourg office expands GPFS’s European footprint and enhances its ability to serve clients establishing and managing funds across the EU.
Luxembourg is Europe’s largest fund center and the world’s second largest after the United States. It remains a preferred domicile for private funds due to its political and economic stability, strong investor protections, and flexible vehicles such as RAIFs, SIFs, and SICAVs. GPFS Luxembourg will provide fund administration, registrar and transfer agency, domiciliation, and company incorporation and management services.
“Receiving CSSF approval marks a defining milestone for GPFS and our clients,” said Glen Shields, Group CEO. “In Luxembourg, we’re uniting the integrity and tradition of a world-class regulatory environment with a modern, people-first approach powered by data—creating an experience that’s both elevated and refreshingly collaborative.”
GPFS Luxembourg is led by James Vella-Bamber and Stephanie Atnas, who serve as the firm’s two Conducting Officers. Together, they bring more than 40 years of combined experience in fund administration, accounting, and regulatory oversight across Europe’s financial services industry.
Vella-Bamber, a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, has more than 25 years of experience delivering fund and corporate services to private credit, private equity, and real estate clients. He will head the Luxembourg office. His knowledge of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) and cross-border fund structures strengthens GPFS’s ability to support EU-based managers.
“I look forward to growing our Luxembourg presence for GPFS and supporting clients who choose this world-class jurisdiction,” said Vella-Bamber. “We’re pleased to receive regulatory approval and have already assembled a talented team of individuals in Luxembourg to launch our office there.”
Atnas joins GPFS as Director, Fund Administration, following 17 years in senior leadership roles at Aztec, Triton Partners, PwC, and in private banking. A Chartered Accountant (ACA) and Co-Chair of the Luxembourg Private Equity Association’s Fund Administration Committee, she brings deep expertise in private equity and private debt operations.
“I’m honored to join GPFS at such a pivotal moment in its journey, marked by the opening of our new office in Luxembourg,” said Atnas. “I’m deeply passionate about connecting people, building high-performing teams, and fostering a culture of excellence. This expansion reflects our commitment to collaboration, innovation, and delivering exceptional value to our clients across Europe.”
