To support its ambitious plans for growth and global expansion, GPFS is pleased to welcome Anastasia Williams to its team as Head of Business Growth & Client Success. Williams comes to the firm equipped with decades of experience developing relationships and new business in private market fund administration, data management, and outsourced services.
“We're incredibly lucky Anastasia is joining GPFS and know that she'll make an immediate impact for our firm and clients," said Glen Shields, Group CEO of GPFS. "Our entire team was impressed with her nuanced knowledge of the complexities of fund administration. She's experienced in all facets of private markets and deeply understands the challenges clients face in managing data, reporting, compliance, and communication across funds and entities," he said.
After beginning her career as a forex trader, Williams transitioned to business development and later moved to SS&C. During her eight year tenure there in New York and San Francisco, Williams led sales of cloud-based fund services, technology, and mobile-enabled infrastructure for a variety of private fund types. She then worked for TMF Group and Vistra, leading relationship management and business development for private equity and alternative investments, before becoming head of institutional sales at Juniper Square. She earned a BBA from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.
"From my first few days here, it’s evident how the culture that Glen and his team have created propels everyone to excellence," said Williams. "There’s a vibrant sense of possibility here, and a really thoughtful perspective on how to move the industry forward. I’ve been impressed by GPFS’s approach to technology and automation, and how they are pursuing innovation in fund administration with a data-first mindset and a commitment to using emerging tools to support their teams and enable them to thrive."
In this newly created, US-based role, Williams will build and drive the firm's growth strategy in partnership with our global team. GPFS has rapidly expanded in recent years, adding offices in England, Ireland, and the Channel Islands, while also growing its US-based team. The company's focus on boutique service delivery paired with data-first and technology-driven client solutions has made it a premier choice for closed-end funds looking for a partner that can grow and scale with each successive investment vehicle.
“GPs are under intense pressure to deliver for their investors, and partnering with GPFS allows them to focus on their investment portfolio and LP relationships, knowing that their back office operation is running smoothly and effectively," said Shields. "With Anastasia on board, I'm confident that our growth trajectory will quickly accelerate as she's able to connect clients with the unparalleled value we provide."
